This is a list of goals I have set for myself upon turning 20. It started out as a list of silly things I wanted to start doing, and transformed into actual goals for my next year of life. Although they may have transformed into goals a lot of them are still kind of silly things that I have wanted to do for a while but have just never taken the time to actually do. No more of that foolishness, I am actually going to start doing the things I want to do while I am still alive to do them! Sometimes we just need to live in the moment and not take life so seriously, so here is a list of silly things that I want to do this year, a reminder that just because I’m only 20 doesn’t mean that I won’t die tomorrow. So here goes a year of of living, loving and laughing as much as possible. A year of doing things just because I am still alive to do them. A year of NO REGRETS!
20 Things I want to do now that I’m 20 (because it’s halfway to 40 and I don’t want to wait that long to start making goals)
1.) Dress like an eccentric old lady. This means wearing scarves, earrings, brightly colored dressed, hats and other accessories just because I can, not because they look good.
2.) Drink black coffee. Not all the time, but every so often because I just feel so much more sophisticated when my coffee is not full of sugar.
3.) Drink more tea. Because I don’t already.
4.) Send people hand written letters.Because who doesn’t love real mail?
5.) See more concerts. I do not have excessive amounts of money, but I will do what I can.
6.) Ride my Bike more. Because it is the best!
7.) Write in my journal. It is a freaking awesome way to keep track of everything that goes on in my life, and someday my kids will want to read them. Plus I have like 5000 journals to fill before I get to buy any more =/
8.) Blog. I have one, actually I have two, and I should use them, maybe not everyday, but more then I do now.
9.) Read one book a month. You know the kind you read for fun.
10.) Take more pictures. This may require a camera…. Yeah.
11.) Buy a camera. To achieve the goal above.
12.) Knit a sweater. This may take a while, I should probably start now.
13.) Knit a Griffindor scarf. Will not take as long as the sweater.
14.) Eat more granola. I live in Oregon I might as well embrace the hippieness.
15.) Write thank you notes, consistently.You gave me a gift, expect to get a note.
16.) Wear more dresses. They are not as bad as I once thought, and I am after all a girl.
17.) Eat more fruits and vegetables.Because they are good for me.
18.) Dance in the rain. It rains a lot here, and I like to dance.
19.) Actually accomplish things on my to-do lists. For example, this one
20.) Do things just because I am alive. No regrets!
